The Mikkyo practitioner is forced to practice the with the physical part, mental part, and emotional part. This is not something we cannot find in the textbook. For example, how to hold your anger, save your anger, use/manage your anger, how to hold your anger, how to change your anger patterns. Master makes their disciple angry sometimes in order to teach them how to manage their anger. How can we find intelligence, wisdom, and a good outcome throughout the practice. The Master must have had difficulty in the physical training, mental journey, and emotional journey. They tend to separate the reality and virtual world and how they can comprehend what’s been said and what is going on in the real world.
When you chant, because you are begging to Buddha, visualize a personified Shingon Japanese style Buddha in front of you. In order to make the visualization better, hold your chant book so that it covers most of your sight. With the rest of the space, use your imagination to visualize your preferred Buddha in front of you.
If you wear the kesa or nyoho-e, you are allowed to pray for other people. After you become Ajari, you can do whatever you want, like enter cemeteries and pray for deceased spirits.
We respect the number three. When we beg something from Buddha, we try to imagine the Buddha in front and Buddha is accepting our wishes and making them happen. Our responsibility is to ask Buddha and charge our vibration with visualizations of the Buddha in front of us.
Imagine that the Buddha is looking through your eyes from behind your head in an aerial viewpoint angle, like the Buddha is standing at the back of your head and their laser bean goes through your eyeballs to see through your eyes. It is very similar to a magnifying glass in the sunshine. If you try to be unified with the spirit of Buddha is too dangerous. The buddha energy is so strong it is crushing. Let the Buddha see through your eyes, but don’t let them take over your body. That is too dangerous. How can we be an effective medium of vibration for the Buddha to help the people. The Buddha is helping you to help them. Do not try to help them yourself. Let the Buddha help them through you.
Disciple tries to chant like the Master, and little by little, the Master is letting the disciple know how it feels to be the Master and how hard it is to do what the Master is doing. You have to keep your physical body separate from the spirit of the Buddha.
Spend a lot of time practicing “A” breathing meditation to have steady breathing for good visualization.
