With respect to Kobo Daishi, your policy and your beliefs resemble Kobo Daishi in this present moment.
Whatever our Master says we have to say yes. If your eyes see that the crow is black and the Master says that it is white, then it is white.
We should have the belief of Kobo Daishi's design. He generated all of his experience and expertise into a resolution to do such things as give good advice to the emperor and provide solutions to people in order to, for example, build buildings. Spiritually he provided solutions of how to mend the relationship between man and woman and people. He places tools in his writings for prayer and rituals, especially in Shido Kegyo. There is a lot of meaning to how we bend our knees, snap our fingers, hold the tools, etc. Through the practices, we, with our body, understand the hidden messages. When we look at the sky, the sky looks the same, but what actually matters is what kind of state of mind/perspetive we have when we look at the sky. Time doesn't change anything, but our mind changes everything. As disciples we sync up with Kobo Daishi's frame and bloom and grow out of the seeds that Kobo Daishi planted. Use your Master's frame and make yourself legitimate. When you create your frame, give it to someone else in the next generation. Continue with the Master-disciple relationship.
